- At least two (6 credits minimum) of the four technical electives must be Engineering Topics courses
- Students who complete Basic ROTC may substitute 6 credits of ROTC for 3 credits of GHA and 3 credits of non-engineering Supporting Courses and Related Areas
- Students who complete CAUSE can use 3 credits as non-engineering Supporting Courses and Related Areas
- Courses should be selected after consultation with the advisor
- Any substitutions must be approved by the advisor and must include a completed petition form
