If you'd like to employ a wage payroll employee, please complete the form below, which will send the prospective employee an email notification asking them to apply online. It will also notify the departmental staff that you have an intent to hire someone.
Submission of this form will send an automatic email to the person you'd like to have apply, so DO NOT SUBMIT unless you are absolutely sure this is someone you'd like to apply for the job and possibly hire.
Penn State appointments conform to a variety of requirements, including legal eligibility for employment in the US (sometimes called the I-9 requirement) and a background check to verify that candidates have no criminal or other record that would preclude employment in the University’s judgement.
A successful background check is required before employment may commence and is essential that the background check process be completed prior to the start of work.
You will be contacted by Penn State HR Shared Services to complete the information needed for the background check and schedule a time to complete all financial on-boarding paperwork.
Once all paperwork is complete, you and your supervisor will receive an email from Penn State HR. This process could take up to one to two weeks to complete.
Please note that NO WORK SHOULD COMMENCE UNTIL YOU ARE AUTHORIZED TO BEGIN THE APPOINTMENT. There are no exceptions.
