
Jason D. McNew
Distinguished Achievement Award in Environmental Systems Engineering and Geo-Environmental Engineering
Jason D. McNew is a Program Manager and Senior Engineer with EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC, an environmental consulting firm based in Maryland. Jason has a B.S. in Geo-Environmental Engineering (now ENVSE) from Penn State University and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He has over 23 years of professional experience and serves in a variety of roles at EA, including as a project manager, senior engineer, sustainability lead, and Program Manager for EA’s EPA program. His project experience spans a variety of investigation and remedial topics, with focuses on emerging contaminants, chlorinated solvents, mixed plumes, multi-phased remediation, and in situ treatment technologies. He has a passion for mentoring and volunteers his time guest lecturing at Penn State and other universities, serving as a mentor for high school students, and providing guidance to younger staff at EA.
