Richard L. Gordon Distinguished Achievement Award in Mineral Economics and Energy Business and Finance
Chris Jablonowski is currently the principal technical expert for Cost Engineering and Analytics at Shell Oil Company in Houston. In this role he is responsible for leading global risk analysis and data analytics projects in upstream technology, engineering, and operations applications.
He has published over 150 technical articles and reports in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and internal to Shell.
Prior to his current position at Shell, he also held positions as an offshore drilling engineer at Shell, an intelligence officer at the CIA focused on energy politics, a management consultant at Independent Project Analysis, and a professor at UT-Austin.
He earned a Ph.D. in energy, environmental, and mineral wconomics from Penn State, an M.B.A. from Tulane University, and a B.S. in civil engineering from Virginia Tech.
