EME Scholarships and Awards
The John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering offers a wide-variety of scholarship opportunities to undergraduate students pursuing degrees within the department. Many of our scholarships are funded by donations from individual alumni and friends while others are the result of corporate gifts.
To be considered for EME scholarships, you must complete the online application form by May 1 of each year. Applications are reviewed and scholarship decisions are made over the summer for the following fall and spring semesters. Students are evaluated based on the criteria set by the donors of each individual scholarship account (i.e. academic merit, financial need, PA residency, etc.). Incoming first-year students are automatically considered for scholarships based on academic merit and financial need. They should not fill out an application form.
Owing to the generosity of our alumni, friends, and corporate partners, EME has a large number of corporate and endowed scholarships to award annually to our undergraduate students.
The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences awards a variety of undergraduate scholarships each year. To be eligible for these scholarships, you must complete the EMS scholarship application by April 15.
