In Memory, Dr. H. Reginald Hardy, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our friend and colleague, Dr. H. Reginald Hardy, Jr., Professor Emeritus of Mining Engineering. Dr. Hardy died on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Dr. Hardy joined the faculty at Penn State in 1966 and, during the past 40 years, he had a passion for his scientific work with his major area of interest in application of acoustic emission/microseismic (AE/MS) techniques to the geotechnical field.
