

Steven B. Hinchman is Senior Vice President of Worldwide Production for Marathon Oil Corporation and serves as a member of Marathon's Executive Committee.
Mr. Hinchman joined Marathon in 1980 as a field engineer and subsequently held a number of technical, staff and managerial positions of increasing responsibility in the Company's domestic and international Worldwide Exploration and Production organizations.
In September of 2000, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Production Operations for Marathon Oil Company, and in January 2002, he assumed his current position.
Mr. Hinchman is a member of the board of directors of the American Petroleum Institute and the Independent Producers Association of America (IPAA) and serves on the IPAA Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the U.S. Oil & Gas Association.
He is a Visiting Committee Member of the Petroleum Engineering Department of the Colorado School of Mines and a member of the board of directors of the Sam Houston Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of the Industrial and Professional Advisory Council of the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. In 2005, he received the distinguished Penn State Alumni Fellow Award.
Mr. Hinchman received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1980, and a Master of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1987.
