Courses:

F SC 431 THE CHEMISTRY OF FUELS (3) Nature and properties of fossil and other fuels, including aerospace, in relation to use; preparation of fuels; by-products; fuel analysis. Prerequisite: F SC 301 or F SC 401

F SC 435 (CH E 435) INDUSTRIAL ORGANIC CHEMISTRY (3) Chemistry and processes for producing organic chemicals and materials in existing and emerging new manufacturing sectors of organic chemical industry. Prerequisite: CHEM 038

EGEE 410 HYDROGEN and FUEL CELLS (3) Introduction to hydrogen production, storage, and utilization by fuel cells and related fuel cell technology.   Prerequisite: MATH 141, PHYS 212.

F SC 503 PROBLEMS IN FUEL SCIENCE (5) A problem-based, active learning course on the fundmental principles of fuel science applied to fuel processing, combustion, and conversion. Prerequisites: F SC 421, 422, 431.

MATSE 570 CATALYTIC MATERIALS (3) Preparation and characterization of solid catalytic materials. Relationships between their surface, defect, and electronic properties and catalytic activity. Prerequisite: CHEM 452.

EGEE 580  DESIGN ENGINEERING (5). Problem-based design engineering of energy and environmental systems.
