EGEE 101 (GN) ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT (3) Energy utilization and technological development, energy resources, conversion and consequences on the local and global environment, and future energy alternatives.

EGEE 497 AIR QUALITY (3)

CH E 414 KINETICS AND INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY (3) Chemical reaction rates and equilibria, reactors, reactor design; emphasis on industrial chemical processes. Prerequisite: CH E 302, CH E 304.

F SC 504 PROBLEMS IN FUELS ENGINEERING (5) A problem-based, active learning course on the application of the principles of fuels engineering to the efficient and environmentally acceptable use of coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Prerequisites: F SC 421, 422, 431.

F SC 506 CARBON REACTIONS (3) Current approaches to heterogeneous reactions in combustion and gasification of carbonaceous solids, including those derived from coal and petroleum sources. Prerequisite: CHEM 452.
